SALVEO’s market structure approach

With a highly-qualified and fully French/English bilingual workforce, a pragmatic approach and a disconcerting level of simplicity in how business is done, Canada offers first-class potential for French companies.
With their sales offices so often based in Quebec, small and medium French enterprises too frequently neglect the other 9 provinces of this federal market, which have a high purchasing power and have actually been left relatively unscathed by the global financial crisis.
Watch out! Canada is not, as some might tell you, a way onto the North American market. In the same way that the Spanish market has nothing to do with the French market…Canada is not the United States!
SALVEO’s advice to French exporters
Canadians have an innate sense of service and customer relations, so make sure you fully prepare your market approach and delivery capacities. The highest possible level of business loyalty will be your best weapon to succeed over the Atlantic: do what you say and don’t be afraid to admit it when you might not be able to deliver. Your customers and local partners will expect you to supply top-quality products and meet deadlines as well as offer excellent follow-up and impeccable customer service.
SALVEO’s presence in Montreal
Following the success of the business models of our set-ups in Eastern Europe, India and the Maghreb, we crossed the Atlantic in 2008. We are based in 100m² of fully-equipped offices in rue Saint Catherine Ouest, in the very heart of Montreal, with a team of 4 senior staff including French, French Canadian and Canadian workers, who specialise in pinpointing partners and investors.
The market is certainly easier to break into than the far-flung markets where SALVEO Group has succeeded in the past, but it does require, as is often the case for exports, a permanent presence, which is what we offer our customers.
The SALVEO Group was chosen by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and the Ministry of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade as well as by various Agencies belonging to the Network of Export Commissioners to assist small and medium French Canadian and Canadian enterprises with their development in Russia, the Ukraine, Central Europe, India, Algeria and France. We would like to make the most of this opportunity to thank our partners for the confidence they show us on a daily basis and the quality of the relationships we have built up over the last few months.
