With GNP of 110 billion US$, Algeria is North Africa’s premier economic force and the second biggest on the African continent.
 
An average growth rate of 5% per year, contained external debt and a 140 billion US$ economic growth support plan are just a few of the selling points of the Algerian market, located just 2 hours from France.

Many businesses work for a long time in Morocco and/or Tunisia without ever taking an interest in the Algerian market. Nonetheless, Algeria offers handsome opportunities in a large number of fast-growing sectors, with trans-Mediterranean growth seemingly untouched by the current economic climate: decoration, living, equipment, industry, the medical market, agri-food, etc... 
As is often the case with this kind of market, Algeria is a country of networks. As a result, it takes time to understand the way things work locally and to introduce your brand, expertise and what you have to offer to the local market. 
 
Why not receive help from professionals based in the local area in order to increase both your effectiveness and the return on your investment? It’s also worth noting the increasing number of VIEs (Volunteers for International Experience) getting involved, allowing small and medium French enterprises to pay less to make their presence felt and consequently to ensure faster growing visibility and give impetus to their commercial efforts.
